# CAN Programming

## Origin

So I was at Def Con and I saw a presentation of it so I was like "I want to do that". Move forward a year and My girlfriend's Prius was having an issue with the audio system. I was like let me look up that issue and came to a website made by Hobbit who took apart all the parts of a Prius and apparently soldering two parts together again fixed the issue...\
Also who doesn't want to do a remote control car, like an RC car but BIGGER.

### Goal

Mess around with the technology and get something where I understand what I am doing essentially.

## Result

Was unable to get the device/parts to make this possible because it was out of my budget or in budget but out of stock.

## Update

I was able to get the part and working on the project now.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://codingmace.gitbook.io/masterward/software/ideas/can-hacking.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
